Carding, the Directors Cut…

OK, it’s working properly now… we carded our first few kilos of wool (natural white) last night and now we have some dark Gotland, some mixed natural Grey Finn and a couple of kilos of darkest Blue/Violet in the queue… It’s great and SO quiet I can hear the stereo no problem… (This week we have mostly been listening to Zydeco…)

So, it’s champagne all round… Cheers everybody…

Well at last it is up and running, but before we got anywhere near that we had to clean many years of dust and dirt out of the rollers…

The two main rollers… It took the two of us 6 hours just to clean the big one… and there are 13 others, two of which we replaced the card cloth… 14 hours work in all…
